When a fence post goes rotten at ground level it’s only a matter of time before it fails. The broken fence panel was a result of the decaying post breaking.
After digging out the old broken fence post, we set a new post in concrete, installed a new overlap panel and repaired the adjoining panel.
In this case a rotten fence post was causing the fence to lean over. We repaired it using a reinforced concrete spur. This involved digging down next to the broken post before adding post fix. After that we attach the spur to the post using galvanised coach bolts and washers.
A large gust of wind took two panels out of this decorative fence in Two Mile Ash. Very unusual for this type of fence as the wind can pass through but in this instance a rotten fence post broke during the storm.
On closer inspection we also found two wobbly fence posts which needed replacing. We supplied and fitted three posts and two fence panels and finished off with post caps and finials.
